Mela is an influencer-commerce marketplace based in India. We connect local brands and creators without agencies or cold DMs.

What we collect

When you join our waitlist, we ask for your name, phone number, Instagram handle, and city. That is the only personal data we collect through this site today.

Why we collect it

To notify you when Mela launches, and to understand demand by city and creator niche. We use your information for nothing else: no marketing lists sold to third parties, no unrelated outreach.

What we don't do

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We do not run ads against your profile. We do not use your waitlist data for behavioural profiling or automated decision-making.

How long we keep it

We retain waitlist data until Mela launches, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. After launch, we will update this policy if our practices change.

Your rights (DPDPA)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you may access, correct, or erase your personal data at any time. Email support@ourmela.com with your request. We aim to respond within seven business days.

Cookies

We may use basic analytics cookies to understand aggregate page traffic, for example how many people visit the waitlist. We do not use ad-tracking cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes that affect waitlist data will be communicated when we have a direct way to reach you.
